J.P. Morgan Chase

I worked at J.P. Morgan Chase as a user experience design lead in a fast-paced environment alongside product and engineering teams to deliver new experiences through effective artifacts such as customer journeys and ecosystem maps, participatory design prototypes, and high fidelity designs for responsive web and mobile applications. This role demanded a balanced understanding of strategy, research, interaction and visual design; the ability to synthesize complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs; and effective communication of design solutions across roles and levels.

IHS Markit

At IHS Markit, I worked as a senior design lead for large institutional clients within the financial industry. I was responsible for client communications, project planning, leading a team of designers, and design execution to create complex, interactive financial products. Work included responsive web UX and visual design, mobile application UX and UI design, and the creation of componentized design systems within an Agile environment.

Redesigned STARZ.com to combine multiple networks and align all channels with a bold, unmistakable, unified look and feel. In addition to designing a set of templates and over 200 visual comps, I created a UI Kit of site-wide elements and components and a rebranded modular email template.

kynect

knyect is a complex, transactional, state-wide health plan marketplace that was hailed as the most successful of all the state-based Affordable Care Act Programs. We designed and developed native mobile applications that allow residents to enroll and receive account information, advice and support, and eligibility requirements for individuals or small businesses.

NYCEDC Digital Roadmap

Created a Digital Roadmap that detailed the strategies, target audiences, current reach, responsibilities, and future external and internal initiatives for the Interactive Marketing Department at New York City Economic Development Corporation. Initiatives included recommendations (each with estimated resource allocations) in the areas of interactive user experience design, content, development, governance, and measurement.

Led internal and external teams in the redesigning and redeveloping of New York City Economic Development Corporation's 3000+ page website. This included conducting stakeholder interviews and creating a 50 page discovery brief, content inventory, user scenarios, functional requirements, an extensive site map, over 50 wireframes and designed templates, form taskflow documentation, back-end maintenance and disaster recovery plans, training sessions, user guides, and a marketing communication launch plan. Post redesign, led internal team responsible for all ongoing content, design, front- and back-end maintenance, as well as the continual addition of new enhancements and features.

The website has received numerous awards, including an Official Honoree in the 17th Annual Webby Awards.

Led team to design and develop a mobile-responsive, media rich, CSS-animated site for the 2014 NYCEDC Annual Review that illustrates how the company is dedicated to building a dynamic, equitable, and sustainable urban economy.

Led team to design and develop a mobile-responsive site for the Mayor's launch of the 'Made in NY' initiative to support manufacturers, students, emerging talent, and growing companies within New York City's fashion industry.

Created a mobile-responsive microsite for our national advertising campaign that was featured during the lead up to the 2014 Super Bowl.

Led team responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of the Essex Street Market mobile-responsive website, which highlights the merchants who shape the Market's character and reflect its long tradition of cultural diversity and connection to the community.

Led team responsible for the creation and ongoing content, design, and back-end maintenance of the award-winning, mobile-responsive NYCruise website, which encompasses both the Manhattan and Brooklyn Cruise Terminals. The site, on average, has 25,000 user sessions and 60,000 pageviews per month.

Led team responsible for the strategic vision, discovery research, planning, information architecture, UX, design, and content workflows for New York City Economic Development Corporation's companywide intranet, which serves nearly 500 employees on a daily basis.

Created the identity for KOR, an NYC-based company that was in the process of creating a line of fashionable, comfortable, urban alternatives to traditional performance wear.

Back To Business Website

Led team at New York City Economic Development Corporation in creating the Back to Business site to give a glimpse of the fortitude of New Yorkers and encourage small business owners who were struggling to recover in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. Photographed small business owners across New York City who were interviewed for the site to share their "getting back to business" stories of grit and determination to reopen or begin the process of reopening.

Created the identity for Tract, a small Brooklyn-based company specializing in furniture design development, prototyping, CNC manufacturing, and fabrication.

Created the identity for Houpla, a company whose scope of services includes websites, social media, television commercials and programming, and traditional print media. The owners wanted a brand that would communicate the creative, organic, evolving, and energetic enthusiasm that they bring to all of their communications.

Email and Social Media Marketing

Led team to develop mobile-responsive email templates and establish best-practice processes for company-wide email marketing and outreach. Led team in creating the initial business case and content strategy to launch New York City Economic Development Corporation's first social media blog channel on Tumblr. Worked closely with our strategy team to design and enable the launches of our six subsequent social media channels, including branded campaigns on Facebook. Served on the Mayor's Office of New York City's first-ever Social Media Advisory and Research Taskforce to create policy and best-practice guidelines for City agencies.

Online Multimedia Library

Worked across departments to create, gather, and develop NYCEDC's first online multimedia library. The library includes a publically available collection of the company's videos, photos, press images, infographics, before/after project photo sliders, audio podcasts, videocasts, and audiocasts.

Designed a concept prototype for a client who wanted to create a magazine about the people who grow the food we eat – and how to eat it.

NYCEDC App Concept

Designed a mobile app for the New York City Economic Development Corporation. The app features the company's available RFPs, financing opportunities, incentives, job openings, and services and resources for minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged businesses. It includes a map of current projects, news and events. In addition, the app features the ability to sign up for content update alerts.
